Testimonials

“Man, I have been through so many treatment places that I don’t even remember them all. I just kept getting’ high. I don’t know,  maybe it was timing or maybe Teresea just knew, but she has really helped me. She even helped me get insurance so I could go see my doctor and get new glasses. That girl cares, I just love her.”

D.E.C.

“I have seen therapists for more than 20 years, but nothing ever changed. We went to marriage counselor after marriage counselor, nothing. I thought I was going nuts. I am so grateful to Teresea for sticking with me and digging until she knew what was wrong with me. I just wish someone had done this years ago.”

J.A.S.

“Teresea is easy to open up to, not everybody is. I’m not gonna lie, I’ve been around the block a time or two when it comes to treatment and the law; that stuff didn’t seem to bother her a bit and she wasn’t surprised or scared of me. She told me a bit about her start into this therapist stuff and I think that helps her understand what we’re goin through, ya know?”

Adult Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

The adult program is an evidenced based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) that challenges the individuals thought processes and behaviors and is done in a unisex, group format. CBT is used often with people suffering with substance misuse, abuse, and dependency with great results overall. The IOT meets three times per week for approximately 36 weeks, each session is 180 minutes long. The IOT meets all the recommended criteria from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Association (SAMHA) and consists of education, nutrition, recovery, positive coping skills, relaxation skills, mindfulness, illness management, time management, living responsibility, boundaries, relationships, communication, leisure activities and hobbies, relapse prevention, relapse planning, and other important skills. Occasionally, a guest speaker will come and share his/her story and explain the importance of having a good support system and we will offer family night every four to six weeks. Typically we offer Family night, it is an informal session where guests aged 13 and up are welcomed to participate in brief education, learn about enabling, learn where to find support locally, and to witness that they are not alone. The family sessions are currently on hold due to the pandemic restrictions however, will resume once it has been deemed safe for larger groups to congrigate.

Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program (A-IOP)

The adolescent IOP is an evidenced based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) that challenges adolescents in how they think, behave, and react; in a unisex, group format. CBT is the therapy choice for many therapists working with folks struggling with addiction and has proven results. The adolescent IOP will meet two times per week, sixteen weeks, for 90-minute sessions. We use an evidenced based curriculum that is geared towards adolescents and teaches: education, consequences, nutrition, coping & relaxation skills, time management, being responsible, boundaries, communication, leisure & hobbies, and the positive things that can happen in recovery. In addition, there will be sessions that will have a guest speaker or family sessions. During family sessions, no therapy is provided however, the family will learn about the disease of addiction, enabling, and where to find support locally. Currently, this group is not available due to lack of interest however, we will not hesitate to add this program when it is needed.
